The guesthouse facing the Mekong River is on a 1 ha plot with huge Mango trees. Arun Mekong is a wooden construction with 7 double bedrooms and a large public living area (terraces, restaurant area, nice hut on the river etc.) equipped with traditional Khmer furniture and décor.Some points you should not in advance to be not disapointed: There is no electricity on the island and the generator we operate provides only electricity 4-5 hours in the evening and does not allow for hot water in the bathrooms.There are moskito nets, but insects may enter the rooms. The place is unique concerning its location and beauty but is remoted and you should not expect luxury.We are open for individual tourists, small groups or may also rent the house for special events (your birthday party, a small retreat etc.). The restaurant provides simple Khmer and European food and drinks at reasonable prices. Nestled within lush greeneries of Kratie, Arun Mekong Guesthouse is a convenient 10-minute walk from Wat Chong Koh Pagoda and Kbal Koh Pagoda. It operates a 24-hour front desk and offers free parking.The property is about 40 minutes to Kratie City in a ferry, while Kbal Koh Ferry Station is 3 km away.Fitted with a fan and authentic Khmer decor, cosy rooms are simply furnished with a wardrobe, desk, a mosquito net and seating area. Bicycle rentals can also be arranged.
